With the support of Terabank, on June 17–20, a SAAS (software as a service) hackathon was held at Ilia State University. The event was organized by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Center of Ilya State University and Startup Grind.
A total of 21 teams participated in the hackathon. Within 48 hours, they created the first software-as-a-service products focused on solving business sector challenges. The jury, among which were representatives of the Terabank management, named the team Ekomi as the winner. The idea of Ekomi is to develop a special service platform that will help small and medium entrepreneurs create personal and commercial mobile applications. The winning team received 5,000 GEL as a prize from Terabank for product development.
The SAAS Hackathon also included thematic presentations, mentorships, workshops, and panel discussions. Representatives of the technology and innovation industry, tech entrepreneurs, Terabank management members, and business clients also participated in it.
Promotion of technological and innovative initiatives by young people as well as support of small and medium-sized businesses are important directions of Terabank's corporate social responsibility. The SAAS hackathon partnership was part of the bank's corporate social responsibility.
