Terabank continues its cooperation with the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB). As part of the partnership, the Bank has secured a new EUR 5 million financing facility to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The new facility will provide SMEs with access to long-term financing, helping them make investments and expand their international trade activities.
“Supporting small and medium-sized businesses is a strategic priority for us. Our long-standing partnership with BSTDB enables us to further support Georgian businesses in their growth. This new financial resource marks the continuation of our cooperation and represents another important step in our commitment to supporting the business sector,” said Thea Lortkipanidze, CEO of Terabank.
The loan agreement was signed by representatives of Terabank and BSTDB on 6 October in Tbilisi, as part of BSTDB Dialogues. This marks the third cooperation between Terabank and BSTDB in the area of SME financing.
“We are pleased to further strengthen our cooperation with Terabank through this third SME financing facility. Supporting access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises is central to BSTDB’s mandate and to our efforts to promote sustainable private-sector development across our member countries. This new EUR 5 million facility will help Georgian businesses access the financing they need to invest, grow and engage in trade, while further strengthening economic links across the region,” said Ziya Aliyev, Vice President Banking at BSTDB.
The partnership between Terabank and BSTDB aims to strengthen Georgia’s private sector and enhance the role of SMEs in the country’s economic growth.
