On March 24, the UN Global Compact Georgia Network hosted a meeting on the topic of “Access to Green Financing for SMEs.”
Beka Bibilashvili, Deputy Head of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises at Terabank, introduced participants to the opportunities available for financing sustainable investments and to the green products Terabank offers its customers.
The presentations were followed by a discussion addressing the main barriers to accessing green financing, including eligibility criteria, collateral requirements, lack of awareness, and project-related challenges.
During the meeting, speakers discussed the role of financial institutions’ engagement, the importance of technical assistance, and the need for cooperation among banks, the business sector, and support programs.
